Softball Recap: Memphis Yellowjackets vs. Oakland Christian Lancers
Memphis extended their losing streak to eight on Thursday, dropping them down to 10-17. They lost 17-2 to the Oakland Christian Lancers. The Yellowjackets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lancers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.
Madison Evans was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. Ella Bobcean also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Memphis will host Capac at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Chiefs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.61 runs per game on average), something the Yellowjackets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Oakland Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bishop Foley at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
