Basketball Recap: Midland Takes a Loss

After flying high against Guy-Perkins last Tuesday, Midland came back down to earth. The Midland Mustangs took a blow against the Wonderview Daredevils on Friday, falling 71-33. The Mustangs lost against the Daredevils in their previous head to head back in February of 2017, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 63-56 score last time.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Haden Pierce, who posted six points and 12 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Nez Roberts, who earned seven points and three steals.

Midland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Wonderview, they pushed their record up to 10-5 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.

Midland will venture away from home to challenge Bradford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wonderview has already played their next matchup, a 53-30 win against Bigelow on the 7th.
