Basketball Game Preview: Carlton/Wrenshall vs. Kelley Mariners

Carlton/Wrenshall will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Kelley Mariners at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Carlton/Wrenshall and ten for Kelley dating back to last season.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 48-20, which was the final score in Carlton/Wrenshall's tilt against Melrose on Friday. The matchup marked Carlton/Wrenshall's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Kelley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap two weeks ago as they fell 38-32 to Denfeld.

Carlton/Wrenshall's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Kelley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Everything came up roses for Carlton/Wrenshall against Kelley in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 73-38 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carlton/Wrenshall since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
