Otsego has gone 8-1 against Genoa Area recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Knights are taking a road trip to challenge the Comets at 4:30 p.m. Otsego's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Genoa Area's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Oak Harbor hit Otsego with a four-run second inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Knights fell just short of the Rockets by a score of 9-8.

Meanwhile, Genoa Area posted their closest win since March 31st on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Fostoria 16-15. With that victory, the Comets brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

Mya Colvin was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Emersen Bickel was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Genoa Area kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Otsego's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Genoa Area, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-13.

Everything went Otsego's way against Genoa Area when the teams last played back in April, as Otsego made off with an 11-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
