Baseball Recap: Chambersburg Takes a Loss

Chambersburg came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-2 to the Altoona Mountain Lions. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mountain Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Chambersburg saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was R Mills, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Chambersburg's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-10. As for Altoona, their record now sits at 8-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Chambersburg will face off against rival Mifflin County at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Altoona is set to challenge their familiar foe Cumberland Valley at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
