Basketball Game Preview: Saline Hornets vs. Adrian Maples

The Saline Hornets will square off against the Adrian Maples at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Saline will head into Friday's contest hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 20) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 50-48 victory over Fordson.

Meanwhile, Adrian hadn't done well against Dexter recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Adrian rang in the new year with a 60-49 win over Dexter. Given the Maples' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Dreadnaughts are ranked 201st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Adrian's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Saline, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Saline barely slipped by Adrian in their previous meeting back in February of 2019, winning 42-41. Does Saline have another victory up their sleeve, or will Adrian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
