Basketball Recap: Paducah Comes Up Short

Paducah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Booker Kiowas 67-39. The Dragons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-18.

Booker found their leader in sophomore Elijah Clevenger, who went 9-for-14 on his way to 23 points. Those 23 points gave Clevenger a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Reydn Rosales, who posted six points and seven boards.

Paducah's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Booker, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-7.

Paducah wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 74-49 defeat against Crosbyton on the 18th. As for Booker, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-53 victory against Shamrock on the 17th.
