Volleyball Recap: Wright Panthers vs. Campbell County Camels
The Wright Panthers didn't have quite enough to beat the Campbell County Camels on Saturday and fell 2-1. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jocelyn Umiker paced Wright's offense, picking up nine kills. Umiker got some help from Emilie Martinez-Reyes and her 14 assists. Madison Rodriguez controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Wright's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Campbell County, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Wright didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Douglas on the 7th. After both having extra time off, Campbell County and Central will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Camels' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
