Volleyball Recap: Ashlyn Yount Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Glendale + How To Watch

Homer-Center barely beat Glendale the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 3-0 win on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won three in a row.

Homer-Center got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The final score came out to 30-28, 25-14, 25-23.

Homer-Center got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ashlyn Yount out in front who had seven digs and two aces. Yount is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Joss Bence, who had ten digs and two aces.

Despite the loss, Glendale still got an impressive performance from Rachel McClellan, who had 15 kills, four digs, and one block. Avery Crynock was another key player, getting ten assists and four digs.

Homer-Center picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Glendale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Homer-Center didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Penns Manor on the 4th. As for Glendale, they are taking a road trip to square off against Mount Union at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
