The Addison Panthers will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Columbia Central Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Addison's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They fell to Britton Deerfield 47-42.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Columbia Central's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 59-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Michigan Center.
Despite the defeat, Columbia Central saw an underclassman step up: Kolie Brown scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and three blocks. Brown is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Lambka, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Addison dropped their record down to 3-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Columbia Central, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4.
