South Johnston put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Clayton Comets get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory.

South Johnston's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Clayton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. South Johnston is set to square off against their familiar foe Smithfield-Selma at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Clayton will challenge rival Garner at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Comets 9.9, the Trojans 10.1) so any points scored will be well earned.
