North Lamar is headed into Friday's contest hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They took a 65-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pleasant Grove on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, everything went Sulphur Springs' way against Bonham on Tuesday as Sulphur Springs made off with a 57-34 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Sulphur Springs has also been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.9 points per game. As for North Lamar, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-10.

Everything came up roses for North Lamar against Sulphur Springs in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as the team secured a 63-33 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Lamar since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
