Basketball Recap: Champaign Central Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Danville came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Champaign Central, but Cayden Love wouldn't allow it. The Maroons had just enough and edged out the Vikings 54-52 for which the team can thank Love, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 19 points. He is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played.

The win was the third in a row for Champaign Central, bringing their record up to 10-13. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points over those games. As for Danville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.
