Soccer Game Preview: Proviso East vs. Hinsdale South + How To Watch

The Proviso East Pirates will square off against the Hinsdale South Hornets at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hinsdale South took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Proviso East, who comes in off a win.

Proviso East took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Prosser by a score of 3-1. The win was some much needed relief for Proviso East as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Jesus Lopez and Jose Barragan scored all three of Proviso East's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Meanwhile, Hinsdale South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 8-0 to Addison Trail. While losing is never fun, Hinsdale South can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 221st, while Addison Trail are ranked 105th).

Proviso East's victory bumped their record up to 5-10-1. As for Hinsdale South, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10-1.
