Baseball Recap: Trinity Gets the Win

The Trinity Raiders earned a 4-1 victory over the Community Christian Warriors on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

Rylan Cecil spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on ten hits and racked up nine Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Trinity is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-8 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cale Boarman, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Ehan Jarboe also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Trinity now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Community Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

Trinity has already played their next matchup, a 12-11 win against Highlands Latin on the 25th. As for Community Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 16-3 victory against Dawson Springs on the 2nd.
