Softball Recap: Maple Shade's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Maple Shade managed to slip by Woodstown the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wildcats lost 7-1 to the Wolverines on Wednesday. The match marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Maple Shade saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Adams, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Maple Shade fell to 4-1. As for Woodstown, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Maple Shade will head out on the road to square off against Delran at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 2.8, the Bears 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Woodstown, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gloucester City at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
