Softball Recap: Inspiration Academy Snags 15th Win in Last 16 Games

Inspiration Academy was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Clearwater on Tuesday. The Lions were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Tornadoes. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

Inspiration Academy got a massive performance out of Jade Carnahan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Alexis McInerney, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Inspiration Academy lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in March of 2024.

Inspiration Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Clearwater, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-9.

Inspiration Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Lake Wales on the 18th. As for Clearwater, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Berkeley Prep on the 16th.
