Evergreen Lutheran will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs back in April, then bounced right back against Foss on Friday. The Eagles came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 12-8. Considering the Eagles' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Wyett Webster was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over 6.1 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2025. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.
In other batting news, Evergreen Lutheran let Mason Rodmyre and Devin Brown run wild. Rodmyre went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Brown got on base in two of his four plate appearances with five stolen bases and two runs. Brown is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Jager Sokalski was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Evergreen Lutheran kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Foss only managed six.
Meanwhile, Quilcene waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Wildcats.
Aiden Cate and Eli Allen made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Cate tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Allen struck out 16 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off one hit. At bat, Cate got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base, while Allen went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Oliver Hopkins was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Minish, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Quilcene's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Evergreen Lutheran, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Evergreen Lutheran has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .483. However, it's not like Quilcene struggles in that department as they've averaged .531. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
