Volleyball Recap: L.C. Bird Comes Up Short

After flying high against Huguenot on Thursday, L.C. Bird came back down to earth. The Skyhawks came up short against the Colonial Heights Colonials on Monday, falling 3-0. The Skyhawks haven't had much luck with the Colonials recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

L.C. Bird was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Colonial Heights work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-17, 25-21.

L.C. Bird's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Colonial Heights, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-9.

Coming up, L.C. Bird will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Clover Hill at 7:00 p.m. Colonial Heights does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
