Basketball Recap: St. Francis Takes a Loss

St. Francis lost against Greeley County back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The St. Francis Indians lost to the Greeley County Jackrabbits on the road by a 48-33 margin. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 264th, while the Jackrabbits are ranked 131st).

St. Francis has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season. The win (which was Greeley County's third in a row) raised their record to 9-9.

St. Francis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Greeley County, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Northern Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
