Softball Recap: Mena Bearcats vs. Paris Eagles
Mena's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 14-1 margin over the Paris Eagles. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bearcats needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Abi Koppein made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one double.
