Volleyball Recap: Riverton Comes Up Short

Riverton lost against Layton back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Silverwolves fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 2-1.

Taylor Freeland paced Riverton's offense, picking up eight kills. Freeland got some help from Annie Runolfson and her 15 assists. Runolfson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Riverton dropped their record down to 4-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Layton, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-10.

Riverton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Westlake on the 5th. As for Layton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Herriman on the 6th.
