Volleyball Game Preview: Linden Lions vs. Summerville Bears + How To Watch

The Linden Lions will face off against the Summerville Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Linden is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Big Valley Christian just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Big Valley Christian.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Big Valley Christian scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23, 22-25, 25-21.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Summerville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They blew past Bret Harte 3-0 on Tuesday.

Summerville's got stronger as the match went on, holding Bret Harte to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-15.

Linden's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 9-7. As for Summerville, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.

Everything went Linden's way against Summerville in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Linden made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
