Basketball Game Preview: Maeser Prep Academy Lions vs. Duchesne Eagles

Maeser Prep Academy is 0-3 against Duchesne since December of 2016 but things could change on Monday. The Lions will head out to take on the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Maeser Prep Academy is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 61 points on Thursday, they were much more limited against Manila on Saturday. They lost 38-17 to the Mustangs. The contest marked the Lions' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Duchesne came up short against Beaver on Friday and fell 47-37.

Maeser Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Duchesne, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Maeser Prep Academy took a serious blow against Duchesne in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, falling 77-40. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Lions were down 45-17.
