Volleyball Recap: Cheraw Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Cheraw was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Marlboro County on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Braves came up short against the North Central Knights on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Braves of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-15, 25-20.

Jaylaya Hudley paced Cheraw's offense, picking up eight kills. Hudley got some help from Kalah Johnson and her nine assists. Hudley also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Avah Flowers, racking up two apiece.

Cheraw's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for North Central, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Cheraw is set to challenge their familiar foe Central at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, North Central will face off against rival Andrew Jackson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
