With a playoff game on the line, Philip Barbour rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the Robert C. Byrd Eagles 9-1. Considering Philip Barbour has won 15 contests by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Avery McDaniel made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out eight over six innings pitched. McDaniel was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-4 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI.
