Softball Recap: Downey Comes Up Short

Downey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 10-4 to the Modesto Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-4 on March 4th.

Downey's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Modesto, their win bumped their record up to 4-10.

After both having extra time off, Downey and Enochs will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field one another at 4:00 p.m. on April 1st. Enochs knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Downey likes a good challenge. Modesto will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Turlock at 4:00 p.m. on April 1st.
