Basketball Recap: Webberville Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Webberville entered their matchup against Oakland Christian on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Webberville Spartans took a 59-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oakland Christian Lancers. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Spartans came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 144th, while the Lancers are ranked 382nd).

Webberville's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-2. As for Oakland Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-5.

Webberville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-39 loss against Genesee Christian on the 10th. Oakland Christian has also already played their next match, a 53-49 defeat against Southfield Christian on the 10th.
