Volleyball Recap: Olivia Prokop Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Regina Dominican

Leyden won the last time they faced Regina Dominican and things went their way on Saturday too. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Panthers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Leyden to victory, but perhaps none more so than Olivia Prokop, who had 13 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Prokop has posted since back in September. Savannah Beatovic also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Leyden's victory bumped their record up to 9-21. As for Regina Dominican, with the loss, they broke their six-match winning streak and moved their record to 16-13.

Coincidentally, Leyden and Regina Dominican will both be playing South Elgin the next time they take the court. The Eagles will head out to face the Storm at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
