Baseball Recap: Fort White Takes a Loss

If Fort White was feeling good fresh off their 19-0 takedown of Ocala Christian last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Fort White lost 16-5 to the Dixie County Bears on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Bears: they've now lost five in a row.

Fort White saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaron Parnell, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Fort White's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Dixie County, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-11.

Coming up, Fort White will welcome Lafayette at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lafayette will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Fort White surely won't give up without a fight. As for Dixie County, they will venture away from home to face off against P.K. Yonge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
