Baseball Recap: New Glarus Extends Winning Streak to Three

New Glarus hadn't done well against Mineral Point recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Glarner Knights beat the Pointers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 4-2. Winning may never get old, but the Glarner Knights sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Andrew Pulvermacher spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ethan Colstad, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Rear, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

New Glarus' record now sits at 7-4. As for Mineral Point, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.

New Glarus will be playing at home against Cambridge at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mineral Point, they will venture away from home to take on Darlington at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
