Recap: St. Henry Crusaders vs. Scott Eagles

The St. Henry Crusaders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell to Scott 61-57. While losing is never fun, St. Henry can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while Scott is ranked 73rd).

It was another big night for Xarek Sarakatsannis, who scored 20 points for Scott. The contest was Sarakatsannis' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Carter Eten was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.

St. Henry's defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-5. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.2 points per game. As for Scott, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Henry will be home for the holidays to greet Villa Madonna at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Villa Madonna focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Monday. Scott and Mason County will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Mason County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully Scott likes a good challenge.
