Volleyball Recap: Cordova Wolverines vs. Cook Inlet Academy Eagles
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Cordova and Cook Inlet Academy meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Wolverines won by a set and slipped past the Eagles 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Wolverines: when they faced off against the Eagles back in September, they had to take a 1-0 loss.
Cordova wouldn't go down easily and took Cook Inlet Academy into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-22, 23-25, 20-25, 15-12.

Cordova got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Hayden Tschappat out in front who had 11 digs. Those 11 digs gave Tschappat a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Taylor Tiedeman, who had ten digs.
Cordova was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 24 aces. They served two more aces than Cook Inlet Academy's also-impressive total of 22.
Cordova has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-10 record this season. As for Cook Inlet Academy, they moved to 15-14 with that defeat, which also ended their five-match winning streak.
