Softball Recap: Chenango Valley Find Success

Chenango Valley's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They never let the Seton Catholic Central Saints get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 back in April.

The result came thanks to Natalie Tyler's shutout, as she gave up just two hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Abby Cron was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabrielle Cashman, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Chenango Valley's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Seton Catholic Central, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Coming up, Chenango Valley will face off against Windsor Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Seton Catholic Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
