Granite Bay dropped down to 7-3 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They were outmatched by the Folsom Bulldogs and fell 42-14. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Grizzlies of the 48-10 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

Despite the loss, Granite Bay still got an impressive performance from Isaiah Ene, who rushed for 72 yards and one TD. Ene also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack, forcing one fumble, and making seven total tackles.

As for Folsom, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-1. Considering they have won five contests by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

It was another big night for Ryder Lyons, who threw for 313 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also punched in one rushing score. His passing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 304 passing yards. Jameson Powell was another key player, picking up 134 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After each having a week off, Granite Bay and Chavez will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. The Grizzlies will need to watch out since the Titans have now posted at least 31 points in their last nine matchups. As for Folsom, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Downey at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th.
