Pine Crest won the last time they faced Franklin Academy and things went their way on Wednesday too. Pine Crest put the hurt on Franklin Academy with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was nothing new for Pine Crest as they're now sitting on four straight.

Pine Crest never let Franklin Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-21, 25-22.

Bobby Lawlor paced Pine Crest's offense, picking up nine kills. Lawlor got some help from Cayden Brocato and his 26 assists. Lawlor was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Pine Crest pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Franklin Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-3 record.

Pine Crest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against David Posnack Jewish Day on the 24th. As for Franklin Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pine Crest at 4:30 p.m. on April 2.
