Volleyball Recap: Marshfield Extends Winning Streak to Three

Marshfield entered their tilt with Aquinas on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Blugolds by a score of 2-0.

Della Smith paced Marshfield's offense, picking up nine kills. Smith got some help from Paige Schlagenhaft and her 15 assists. Sophia Olson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

When it comes to explaining why Aquinas lost, don't look at Sammy Davis. Despite the final result, she had 18 kills. Davis has been hot recently, having posted seven or more kills the last three times she's played.

Marshfield now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Aquinas, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marshfield is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Wausau East at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Aquinas, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Holmen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
