Basketball Recap: Richmond Takes a Loss

On Friday, the Richmond Red Devils opened the new year with a less-than-successful 60-49 loss to the Fort Wayne Bishop Luers Knights.

Carmani Davis had an outrageously good game for Fort Wayne Bishop Luers as he went 6 for 8 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds. Those five rebounds gave Davis a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Zen Szaferski, who posted eight points and seven assists.

Richmond now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Fort Wayne Bishop Luers, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.

Richmond will head out to face off against New Castle at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th. As for Fort Wayne Bishop Luers, they will host Churubusco at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Wayne Bishop Luers is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.5 points per game this season.
