Basketball Recap: Rockbridge County Comes Up Short

Rockbridge County lost against Spotswood back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Rockbridge County Wildcats were beaten by the Spotswood Trailblazers 50-22. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Trailblazers are ranked 23rd).

Rockbridge County's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-6. As for Spotswood, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Turner Ashby the next time they take the court. Rockbridge County will head out to face Turner Ashby at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Spotswood will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
