Football Recap: Oak Grove Comes Up Short

Oak Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 21-14 to the Pleasant Hill Roosters/Chicks. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Roosters/Chicks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Although Oak Grove took the loss, they still got scores from Israel Blackston-Qu'Tae and Cooper Brown.

Oak Grove's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Pleasant Hill, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Oak Grove will take on rival Odessa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Pleasant Hill is set to challenge their familiar foe Clinton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
