Volleyball Recap: Simi Valley Comes Up Short

Simi Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chaminade Eagles. The Pioneers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Simi Valley started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-14, 25-20, 25-12.

Simi Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Chaminade, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Simi Valley will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Rio Mesa at 6:00 p.m. on March 4th. As for Chaminade, they will square off against St. Genevieve at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
