Recap: Manhattan Tigers vs. Jefferson Panthers

The Manhattan Tigers came tearing into Saturday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 63-57 victory over Jefferson. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Loss or not, Jefferson got some senior leadership from Dalton Noble and Colt Tietje. Noble dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds, while Tietje. scored 17 points.

Manhattan's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Jefferson, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manhattan will face off against Broadwater at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Broadwater has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9. As for Jefferson, they will take on Ennis at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
