Volleyball Recap: Cashmere Bulldogs vs. Lakeside Eagles
With a playoff game on the line, Cashmere rose to the challenge on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Lakeside Eagles.
Cashmere walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-15, 25-17, 25-21.
Macie Smart paced Cashmere's offense, picking up 14 kills. Smart got some help from
Cali Diaz and her 36 assists. Diaz was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.
Cashmere's win bumped their record up to 25-3. As for Lakeside, they moved to 14-3 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.
Cashmere has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Cedar Park Christian on the 15th. After both having extra time off, Lakeside and Riverside will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
