Dupree and Wolsey-Wessington squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Dupree had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 56-28 loss at the hands of the Wolsey-Wessington Warbirds. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

A big part of Wolsey-Wessington's victory came down to the chemistry between Caleb Richmond and his top target Peyton Rainford. Richmond rushed for 157 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries while Rainford gained 216 total yards and two touchdowns. Rainford really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run. Moshe Richmond was another key player, gaining 124 total yards and two touchdowns.

Dupree's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Wolsey-Wessington, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Dupree does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wolsey-Wessington, they will head out to square off against Wall on Friday. Wall will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Wolsey-Wessington surely won't give up without a fight.
