Baseball Recap: Brush Beetdiggers vs. Platte Valley Broncos

Brush took an eight-run defeat the last time they faced off against Platte Valley, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Beetdiggers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Broncos on Monday, sneaking past 7-6. With that victory, the Beetdiggers brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

Landon Mesch was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Brush is 4-2 when he allows at most one walk, but 6-7 otherwise. Mesch was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two doubles. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in April of 2025.
