Preview: Mt. Pulaski Hilltoppers vs. Midwest Central Raiders        
        
		
            
 Mt. Pulaski has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will  take on the Midwest Central Raiders at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. One thing working in Mt. Pulaski's favor is that they have posted big  point totals  in their last three matches.
 Mt. Pulaski pushed their score all the way to 56 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were dealt a  89-56 defeat at the hands of Calvary. While losing is never fun, Mt. Pulaski can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings  (they are ranked 582nd, while Calvary is ranked 222nd).
 Meanwhile, Midwest Central's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Tuesday after their ninth straight  defeat. They fell to Delavan  57-52. The  defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Midwest Central in their matchups with Delavan: they've now lost five in a row.
 Mt. Pulaski's loss dropped their record down to 11-17. As for Midwest Central, their loss was  their third straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 3-23.
 Mt. Pulaski lost to Midwest Central on the road  by a decisive  70-55 margin  in their previous meeting  back in January of 2023. Can Mt. Pulaski avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
