The Woodsboro Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Karnes City Badgers at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodsboro will be strutting in after a victory while Karnes City will be coming in after a loss.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 24 to 3 on the offensive boards, a fact Woodsboro proved on Tuesday. They really took it to Mathis for the full four quarters, racking up a 48-21 victory at home.
Jaqulynn Tully was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 26 points along with 7 steals and 5 rebounds. The game was her sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Aniya Zena, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals.
Meanwhile, Karnes City lost to Bloomington on the road by a decisive 40-26 margin on Friday. Karnes City has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The victory got Woodsboro back to even at 3-3. As for Karnes City, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Woodsboro was taken down by Karnes City 63-13 in their previous meeting back in November of 2021. Can Woodsboro avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
