Basketball Recap: Juanita Sanchez Complex Takes a Loss

Juanita Sanchez Complex was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 66-55 defeat to the Coventry Oakers.

Coventry's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brayden Martin, who went 9 of 11 on his way to 21 points and eight assists. Martin is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 16 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Finegan, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 17 points and six assists.

Juanita Sanchez Complex's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Coventry, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

Coventry is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.7 points per game this season.
