Volleyball Recap: London Granados Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Sulphur

Haynes Academy saw some tournament action on Friday. They came out on top against the Sulphur Golden Tors by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for Haynes Academy.

Haynes Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but London Granados led the charge by getting 29 assists. Those 29 assists gave Granados a new career-high. Sophie Bourgeois was another key player, getting ten digs and two aces.

Haynes Academy's win bumped their record up to 22-2. As for Sulphur, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-23 record this season.

Haynes Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Metairie Park Country Day on the 17th. As for Sulphur, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Northwood on the 18th.
