            Baseball Recap: Bolton Bulldogs vs. Windham RVT Mighty Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Bolton managed to slip by Windham RVT the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bulldogs came up short against  the Mighty Tigers on Friday, falling  13-7. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mighty Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in May of 2024.
 Caden Marcil was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he  struck out six batters over  4.1 innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   six  hits. That's the fewest  earned runs  he has allowed since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  runs and one  double. That  double marked the first that  he has  hit this season.
 In other batting news,  Jackson AmEnde was cooking despite his team's loss,   getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  run and one  RBI.  Josh Wagner also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  double of the season.
Bolton is  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-7. As for Windham RVT, their victory  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 2-5.
 Looking ahead, Bolton is taking a road trip to  challenge East Granby  at 3:45  p.m.  on Monday. The last three games the Crusaders have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Windham RVT, they will host Cheney Tech  at 3:45  p.m.  on Monday. The Mighty Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chargers have averaged an impressive 7.8  runs per game this season.
